 What's New for the 2019 Audi A4?

In 2019, there are three equally appealing trim levels of the A4 to choose from. This year, the A4 is equipped with more standard amenities than before, especially in the way of safety and technology. In fact, like some other Audi vehicles, the A4 gets an unprecedented 12.3-inch touchscreen. The touchscreen display includes features like navigation and phone connectivity to put all your favorite technologies within finger's reach. The expanded safety package includes more driver assist features too, such as lane departure warning. The same two engines are offered on all three trim levels; a 2.0L, turbocharged 40 TFSI engine is standard, while a 2.0L turbocharged 45 TFSI engine is available.

The base model of the A4 is the Premium. With this sedan, you can look forward to luxurious standard amenities like a seven-inch display screen, a power-operated sunroof, heated leather seats, and pre-collision and parking sensors. The Premium Plus builds on the base model's amenities with full LED lights in the front and back. This trim level also has a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system with a total of 19 speakers. Along with a premier sound system, you'll also get more conveniences such as a keyless entry system, engine start-stop technology, and a hands-free trunk release. Next up the line is the Prestige. This car, as the name implies, is full of prestige with a voice-controlled entertainment system that has Bluetooth and navigation. This car also comes with cruise control and a garage door opener. Other amenities this trim level offers are a backup camera, a five-inch driver information display, and a comprehensive sound system with a CD and MP3 player. Ambient LED lighting gives the interior a more glamorous appearance, and the sunroof has tilt and slide features. Four cup holders throughout the cabin make it easy to bring along water, coffee, tea, and other drinks on the road. Inside, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a built-in compass makes it easy to get where you need to go.

In addition to being equipped with a number of amenities, the A4 is also a great choice if you want a safe car to drive. There are a number of standard safety features in this trim level, including front and side airbags and head curtain airbags for the front seats. A passenger detection feature allows the car to determine if a front passenger airbag can be safely deployed if the car crashes. Anti-lock braking and vehicle skid control are other notable safety highlights. Finally, safety seat belt reminders and a LATCH child seat locking system are designed to keep occupants safe and secure. As for its power output, the A4 has a base engine with four cylinders that can generate up to 188 HP at a maximum of 6,000 RPM. It can also produce up to 236 LB-FT of torque at 4,200 RPM. The second engine choice is a four-cylinder engine that generates up to 248 HP at 6,000 RPM and up to 273 LB-FT of torque. Both engines are paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
