While infotainment systems are practically standard fair these days, we’ve been waiting for one that works without having to take your eyes off the road. That’s where Audi steps in with Virtual Cockpit—a digital display that integrates seamlessly with your instrument cluster, letting you operate them without taking your attention off the road ahead.
Available with the Vision package on the Q7, and the Technology package on the A4 and allroad, Virtual Cockpit will be also be available on more models in 2018. It comes in two modes—Classic and Infotainment. The latter is where things get interesting, since it allows you to display apps like real-time maps, radio, and music. Powered by a potent quad-core processor available in smart phones, and controlled by smart functionality on your steering wheel, it’s as quick to work as it is to use.
