It’s been five years since Audi unveiled the A7, and since then, the car has come to be ubiquitous with exciting technology and a roguish, fastback design. That mantra won’t be changing for its second generation, as seen in the 2019 A7. Reimagined from the ground up, this eye-catching luxury hatchback is at once familiar and futuristic, drawing on technology and innovation from the A8 flagship.
One of the qualities Audi didn’t tamper with too much is the design, which has been refined to be more aggressive and sporty. The large grille treatment, headlight design, and cabin show the family resemblance to the A8. Speaking of which, the A7’s 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 will also come mated to a 48-volt mild hybrid system, and offer the same 340 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque found in the new flagship. Also present will be a cabin with three screens, four-wheel steering and suspension that can individually raise and lower each wheel, and more.
