As already stated, the A4 and A6 are powered by different engines. The A4 comes with a base 2.0-L 4-cylinder that generates 188 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. There is an optional upgrade that gets 248 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque and adds all-wheel drive. These engines provide a lot of power, and the update can get the A4 from 0 to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds. On the other hand, the A6 has a standard 3.0-L V6, which musters up 335 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque and makes it there in a zippy 4.8 seconds. The A6 does best the A4 in terms of steering, as the A4 doesn't feel as engaging.

Appearance

When it comes to outward appearance, the only apparent difference is their size. The A6 is a full-size sedan; hence, it has a more elongated body. And, of course, that means it has more interior space. Both vehicles have chic cabins crafted from high-quality materials. The A4 does give you more forward visibility since its roof pillars are a little bit thinner than those on the A6. It isn't a huge deal, though, since the head-up display gives you a good idea of what is around the outside of the vehicle.

Both the A4 and A6 have long lists of standard features. The base A4 comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display, 5-inch driver information screen, a rear-view camera, Bluetooth connectivity, Audi pre sense® basic and Audi pre sense® city, leather seats, tri-zone climate control, and heated front seats. Meanwhile, the base trim of the A6 has front and rear parking sensors, a panoramic sunroof, a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel with memory, and a 10-speaker sound system.
