2020 Audi A3 vs 2019 Audi A3

Serving Rockville, MD

The Audi A3 is the natural choice for today’s car shoppers who want to take home an executive sedan with a sporty edge. At Rockville Audi, many of our customers inquire about the updates that have been made to the 2020 Audi A3. The 2019 and 2020 Audi A3 are third-generation versions, and the 2020 A3 is the last model year for this generation. These two versions of the A3 are undeniably similar and appealing, but several updates have been made to the 2020 model.

Performance

Two powertrains are available for the 2019 and 2020 model years, and these powertrains are unchanged. The base option is a gas-powered 2.0-liter, TFSI 4-cylinder engine that produces 184 horsepower. A higher-level S-Line powertrain is also available, and it provides you with 228 horsepower. The A3 also comes with comparable mechanical features for both years, and some of these items are a 4-link rear suspension system, MacPherson front struts, Quattro all-wheel drive, and other details. If you prefer to drive the 2020 A3, your sedan will now have several selectable driving modes for improved performance.

Appearance

Substantial improvements have been made to the exterior design and features in the A3. For 2020, Quantum Gray is added to the outer color option list. The top Prestige trim and the convertible version of the A3 are not available for 2020. While the body shape, grille, and other features are unchanged between these two model years, the standard 17-inch wheels in the 2019 Audi A3 grow to 18 inches in the latest model. Also, puddle lamps bearing the Audi logo are options for the 2020 Audi A3 Premium and Premium Plus trim.

Features

The 2019 Audi A3 is well-appointed with exceptional interior features, and many of these features carry upward to the latest model available. However, a few improvements have been made. For example, all equipment in the optional Black Optic package offered for the 2019 model year has been elevated to standard equipment. Some of these items are a push-button ignition, an anti-theft security system, and keyless entry. If you take home the 2020 A3 Premium Plus, your car will now have a standard audio system from Bang & Olufsen, high beam assistance, and rear USB charging ports. Another update is found in the Premium and Premium Plus trims for the new model year. For these trims, the Final Edition package can be added. This package provides you with sports seats, red or black leather material, contrast stitching, and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
