 What's New for the 2019 Audi Q7?

For 2019, Audi added even more premium features to make the Q7 live up to its luxurious reputation. The base level trim will continue to be known as Premium. It is getting navigation as a standard feature in 2019. The next level up, the Premium Plus, gets many upgrades, including a 360-degree/top-view camera, LED headlights, wireless charging, navigation, and an antennae boost. Perhaps the most exciting addition to this trim level is the Virtual Cockpit, which is a 12.3-in configurable digital driver information display. Drivers who elect to add the Convenience package will now be getting rear collision mitigation as well as side assist. The top-of-the-line Prestige trim comes standard with parking assist. Other trims can now add that feature as part of a Driver assistance package.

Both the Premium and Premium Plus come standard with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It is capable of generating 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. These trims also have the option of a supercharged V6, which is the standard engine on the Prestige models. With this engine, drivers get 333 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. Either engine is paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. Any Audi that is equipped with the 20-inch wheel option will now get all-season, run-flat tires. No matter which trims level you choose, Audi offers many convenient features. The Premium trim comes standard with a panoramic sunroof, heated leather seats, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a power liftgate, tri-zone automatic climate control, and navigation. You also get satellite radio that sounds amazing on the 10-speaker sound system.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has named the Audi Q7 a top safety pick. It also received the maximum 5-star score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Standard safety features on all levels of the Q7 include forward-collision mitigation with pedestrian detection, rearview camera, and front and rear parking sensors. Those looking to add even more protection can choose available rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, a surround view parking camera, night vision assist with pedestrian detection, and lane keep assist.
